Introduction to Traditional Painting Techniques

Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 May

Learn or improve your traditional canal painting techniques at this weekend course with Terence Edgar, a journeyman decorative painter and a member of the Waterways Craft Guild.  You will find plenty of inspiration and ideas from authentic items in the collection at the National Waterways Museum, Stoke Bruerne and from the surrounding canal village of Stoke Bruerne itself.

You will be able to work at your own pace and there will be plenty of time for individual instruction.  If you have 'Roses and Castles' pictures of your own, bring them along for feedback too.

All materials and equipment will be provided, just bring an old shirt to paint in. Advance booking essential.

£85 per person. 10am to 4pm each day. Max 10 people. Lunch not included. Options include The Boat Inn or the Navigation Pub.

Bookings and information - l 01604 862229.
