Opening times

1st March 2008 - 31st October 2008:
Open daily 10am to 5pm

1st November 2008 - 31st March 2009
Wednesday - Friday 10.30am to 3.30pm
Saturday & Sunday 10.30am to 4.30pm

Christmas Opening
The museum will be closed from Monday 22nd - Friday 26th December and again from Monday 29th December - Thursday 1st January.

On Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th December the museum will be open from 10.30am - 4.30pm.

From Friday 2nd January, the museum will revert to usual Winter opening hours (see above).

How to find us

The National Waterways Museum Stoke Bruerne is situated on the canal towpath in the heart of this historic village.

By road
South of Northampton, Stoke Bruerne is10 minutes from both the M1 (J15) and the A5, just off the A508.

 By rail & bus
The nearest railway stations are at Northampton and Milton Keynes. If you arrive by rail it will be necessary to catch a bus or taxi for the remainder of the journey to Stoke Bruerne.

Car parking
Pay and display car parking is available outside the Museum. Parking for blue badge holders is provided outside the museum.

Admission
We offer a range of admission packages depending on the size of your group and how often you wish to visit.

Single visit
• Adults - £4.75
• Senior Citizens - £3.25
• Children - £3.25
• Family Tickets - £12.00 (two adults and up to three children)

If you are a UK taxpayer you can convert your admission price into a gift-aided donation. This will enable us to claim an additional 28p in every pound from the Inland Revenue without any additional cost to you.

Season ticket
With our annual season ticket you can visit any of the three National Waterways Museums time and time again at no extra cost for a 12 month period.

You will also receive a quarterly newsletter giving advance notice of events and activities taking place at the museums.

Adult: £7.50
Child: £5.50 (up to 16 years of age)
Senior Citizen: £6.50
Family: £22.00 (two adults and up to three children)

Groups
If your party includes 10 or more people we are delighted to offer our highly competitive group package.

During your visit there is plenty of time to tour the museum, explore the audio trail, have lunch or afternoon tea in the museum café or browse for gifts in the museum shop.

Access
There is wheelchair access from the car park to the canal towpath and to toilet facilities.

There is ramped access to the ground floor of the museum (to the café and shop) however the galleries are situated on the first and second floor of the corn mill an do not currently have wheelchair access.
