The National Waterways Museum is home to three important collections. Whilst many boats and other items are on display at the museum, there is also a significant reserve collection.
Inland Waterways Collection
The Island Warehouse galleries house many items from the Inland Waterways Collection and there is a significant reserve collection. This collection is designated as being of national and international importance.
Historic Boat Collection
Boats from the Historic Boat Collection can be found in the Island Warehouse and outside in the surrounding docks. Several of the boats are listed on the Historic Boat Register.
The Waterways Archive This national archive is held in the Rolt Building and is currently closed for renovation.
